My recollection is of an [¿option-8=?] Power Down capability within DST.

At that point of processing, having merely gotten into DST from a manual D-mode IPL, the power-off from the control panel probably should be the /same/ as a controlled\supported\regular PwrDwn requested from within DST; i.e. an abnormal\forced\irregular power off is probably not of any concern, as would be the case, if instead requested from the panel at any other point of processing.
