I encountered that same type of error in 1993. Was not on IBM i. I think
it was DOS. Trying to install software. Silly thing was attempting to
compute remaining disk space. I don't remember the numbers. but, the logic
that generated the error message just could not handle the big disk (for
the time) that was installed. Apparently saw a zero at some position from
the left and ignored the other digits to the left of that. Amazing, to me,
that this type of foolishness is still going on. I see it on web pages
where version number of browser is considered as unsupported because x.4 is
less than x.44. For this to happen on the i is just strange. But, of
course, everybody knows THAT.

Your service request number is 92836,082,000.

Perhaps we're confusing them:
Shared Processor Pool: RACK1
Reserved Maximum
Pool Pool Processing Processing
Name ID Units Units
DefaultPool 0 N/A N/A
IBMi 1 0 7
IBMiAppServer 2 0 5
NonMimix 3 0 5

DefaultPool is used by our AIX lpar and our two VIOS lpars.
IBMiAppServer is used by lpars especially licensed for the 'application
server' license. Domino and hosting only lpars.
IBMi are our two Mimix lpars; production and development.
NonMimix is primarily a domino lpar but with some DB2 activity. It just
was easier to move him out than get the time to move the two Mimix lpars
to their own lpar.
Shared
Processing Processing
lpar Units Pool
vios1 0.25 DefaultPool
Vios2 0.25 DefaultPool
AIX 1 DefaultPool
Prod 5 IBMi
Dev 1 IBMi
Web 1 NonMimix
Host 2 IBMiAppServer
Domino 3 IBMiAppServer

Mimix will check the licences of the shared pool they are in.
HelpSystems doesn't care if you are just running it on one lpar. They
want you to pay for the total in IBMi, IBMiAppServer and NonMimix. They
only cut you slack on the pool for Aix. But if you do run it on another
lpar, they want a check for that also.

Rob, last time I checked, 7 never was greater than 12. (duck and run)

Now since the license appears to be set for 12 and you're not using more
than 9, I have to admit confusion, but moreover it indicates a problem
with
the key since that's baked into the key process. Another call to the
wonderful, immediately responsive, and always very accurate key
center......

How do we make it so that the number 7 is no longer greater than 12?

Cause . . . . . : The processor usage limit of 12 processors for product

5770SS1, license term V7, feature 5051 has been exceeded.

Recovery . . . : The total processor usage count on all active IBM i
partitions includes the processor usage of all versions of IBM i.
Therefore, the processor usage limit must account for the total

they
do not exceed the usage limit or contact your IBM marketing
