There's two items of concern here:
- Fixing the problem
- Trying to figure out what caused the problem to reduce the possibility
of it recurring.

As far as fixing the problem you need to run either
RCLSTG SELECT(*DBXREF)
or
RCLSTG SELECT(*ALL)

The first (*DBXREF) I don't recall seeing it take more than 20 minutes.
Across more than a dozen lpars.
The latter I've seen WIDELY vary depending on the individual lpar on the
same machine. And reduce drastically if that lpar was unloaded/reloaded
from a Power 6 to a Power 8. I've seen times vary from 11 hours to a few
minutes.

As far as determining what caused it will require you open a ticket with
IBM.
