Well, if addressing and passwords set correct, it usually works.
But we had issues (P5 and P6 servers) with some broadcast storm
which stopped LAN console from working, and the other day the
HMC port switched to DHCP Client (why ever) and grabbed some
internal address...

If it's only one single server in a small environment - no problem.

We have set all the relevant IP addresses to static. I suppose we could add more NIC's to this PC..

Why would you not recommend - everything is password protected?
