Does the Database server function for an ODBC connection perhaps? I did not lookup what is that error, but quite possibly the same effect as what is seen with the file transfer [and since noted also for the Excel plugin] will persist.

Perhaps the option of exporting the data to a format that then can be imported after transferring the data [explicitly or by drive mapping]? The Copy To Import File (CPYTOIMPF) is one example of export-as-a-text-format; that should be available on that release, as I recall -- despite all the deficiencies and anomalies that remain until sometime in v5 IIRC.
