Hi

thanks for that.

How much complication would I cause myself if I wanted to do a copy of just
ASP#2 so I could move some libraries around between systems using Flash
Copy ? So not a Full System Flash Copy, just a specific set of LUNs.

I'm figuring option (2) would cater for that; presumably it's a matter of
getting keys exchanged and then just running a script ?

Do this two ways.

1) Using PowerHA. It's basically built into the product. You set it up and
then to do the flashcopy STRSVCSSN and *POOF* flash copy!

2) Completely home grown. You simply SSH over to the SVC and start the
copy then SSH over to the HMC and start up the partition. All automated
with scripts. Effectively do it manually, record the steps needed and then
script them.

Hi All

does anyone using external storage run a completely automated flash copy
on
their i ?

If so, would you care to share how you accomplished this and what tools
you
are using ?

How difficult was it to set up and how much did the lab services toolkit
assist ?

Any pre-requisites or scenarios I should be aware of if contemplating a
process like this ?
