Hi,

The ACS tool (IBM i Access Client Solutions v1.1.5.1) has a "Printer
Output" option. In that option I can see any spooled file in an IBM i
output queue. When I download a spooled file with device type *SCS it
downloads and names the file as a file name <splf>.txt which is viewable in
tools like notepad, etc..

When I download a spooled file of device *USERASCII, it names the file
<splf>.userascii. How can I cause ACS' printer output to download a
*USERASCII file with a name of <splf>.ps? I just want a different filename
extension on the downloaded file without having to change it manually.

[Background: I can't make GSView.exe (Win7x64, v6.0) open a *.userascii
file, even though the file contents is actually postscript. I need to
manually rename it to a *.ps file to view the contents with GSView. I can
use EPSViewer to view a *.userascii file, but it only ever displays the
first page of that file. *USERASCII files can not be viewed using any tools
on the IBM i.]
