If you put '-- ' on a line all by itself (that's two hyphens and a blank
followed by a newline/carriage return) then the mail list software won't
record the text that occurs below it. Like my signature has.

automatically leave off phone numbers anyway. ;-)

By the bye, thank you for starting this thread. I have been writing my
stored procedures exclusively as LANGUAGE RPGLE but I think I should
consider the benefits of LANGUAGE SQL.

Would love it if someboy could give me a better option instead of
having to check for errors after every statement. I'm interested if there
is such a thing as a global error handler in LANGUAGE SQL stored
procedures -- and how to code them.
