With V5R3 and V5R4 on your IBM i you are going to have issues with newer
browsers. They are really cracking down on old ciphers and just refuse to
use them.
With newer versions of the OS you have to read some of these PTF cover
letters. Honestly, it's something I try to studiously avoid, with the
assumption that if I just put them on in restricted state I'm normally ok.
However, it's getting to where you have to modify certain system values
to not only allow some new cipher which appeared on a PTF but to stop
using a cipher which the browsers no longer like.
I'm learning this the hard way with all the automated security scans being
done by auditors.
