I've searched the archives and the web and can't find this one. I have a location which has their own System i, that we have recently converted from our old S/36 RPGII software (in-house written many moons ago) to our new software and DB/2 files using RPGLE (in-house written within the past few years). Now the users are complaining that the 'sounds' are missing. No beeps, bells, buzzes - nothing. No audible indication when an error occurs, or when a job completes. I've signed on to their system remotely and tested this, and I hear the sounds just fine. They have a mixture of PCs and thin clients and, according to them, none of them have any System i sounds. This is the 23rd location that we have converted and I believe that no other location has had this issue. They are on 7.2, just like all our other locations.

Yep, this is a screwy one. I'm hoping someone has run across this in the past and can point me in the right direction.

As always, thanks in advance for any and all advice.

(Did you hear about the two antennas (antennae?) that got married? The wedding ceremony was kinda lame, but their reception was great!)
