I think the problem is that you're thinking of a menu oriented system.
You're trying to find out how you can drill down from the menus at the
ibm.com page to finally get to IBM i. You have to think more on how one
uses the internet nowadays. There is no MAIN menu (other than perhaps a
google search screen) that you drill down from to find everything you
want.

Now, if you didn't know anything about IBM i you'd have a tough time
finding it.

Yes, I agree that something splashy about IBM i, especially in the light
of the new announcements, would be nice to see at ibm.com
Or even on the bottom right where you see "About IBM" "Latest news" some
mention of IBM i would be nice.
I believe that IBM feels that people do not find new releases of operating
systems and whatnot "newsworthy". That CEO's and whatnot only want to see
stuff about Haliburton and whatnot. Apparently they think that releases
of the latest iPhone and other tech related news are never heard of and
have no interest to most people. So therefore why would a new release of
IBM i be newsworthy?
