I reran the DUP from the same volume, LTO5 HH to LTO7 HH.
DUPMEDBRM finished without issues.
This was a full BRMS LTO5 volume.
LTO5 HH Dup to LTO 5 HH DUP previously was 10 hours.
LTO5 HH DUP to LTO 7 HH DUP - 4 hours 45 minutes.

Subject: 1st LTO7 failure during a DUPMEDBRM.
1st LTO7 failure during a DUPMEDBRM.
This morning I was DUP an LTO5 to LTO7 tape.
1/3 of the way, sequence 368, I got a media error on the LTO5 source volume.
I was watching the library via the GUI at the time, and I saw the one drive state calibrating.
This lasted for almost a minute or two, then the failure occurred.
Volume was marked as bad, but I think this may have been a "false" error.
I think the tape may been "changing direction" when the error occurred.
I cleared the error, reloaded the volume, volume reading successfully at point of failure.
Back in 2015, we had similar multiple failures with LTO5 during a DUP.
I believe newer LTO5 HH FC firmware was created to resolve this issue.
My question is:
Are these same LTO5 firmware fixes also included in the LTO7 firmware.
Thank You
