Dear John,

Are you willing to use third-party products (Robot, etc.)?

Sincerely,

David Lowery

Subject: Monitoring Interactive Jobs for waiting message reply

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on the best method to monitor
interactive jobs for jobs that are waiting for a message to be replied
to.

I don't say Message Wait Status because the job is not actually at
Message Wait Status when you look at the job using WRKACTJOB.

For example if I have a user that is running an AP application and it
encounters an error such as File Full, Divide by zero, Level Check
etc.

I want my program that monitors for Message Wait Status in Batch jobs
to also monitor QINTER for jobs that are waiting for a reply to a
message as well.

Interactive jobs are handled differently than Batch jobs as far as
this situation goes.

I cannot seem to find an API that will get me the information that I
can use to determine the job is waiting.

Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions

John
