After downloading PTFs I just use option 8 from GO PTF and select *SERVICE
for the media (should do all PTFs downloaded), N for Automatic IPL and 3
for Prompt for Media.

Make sure you IPL to B side and watch the console load em up.

I would say that "superseded" means that at one time it was temp or perm
installed but is now superseded. So that should be ok.

I did a SNDPTFORD PTFID((*CUMPKG)) to get my v7.1 machine up to date. The

In short it says to verify SI46137 is temporarily or permanently applied
using the below command.

DSPPTF LICPGM(5770SS1) SELECT(SI46137)

General information

Product ID/PTF ID . . . . . . . . . . : 5770SS1 SI46137
Release . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : V7R1M0

On order . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : No
PTF save file . . . . . . . . . . . . : No
PTF status . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : Superseded
Latest superseding PTF . . . . . . . . : SI60168 <----- PTF status is
"Save file only"
Superseded by . . . . . . . . . . . . : SI50155 <----- PTF status is
Permanently applied

I believe SI60168 was downloaded as part of the CUME that I haven't yet
applied, so I'd expect it to be in "Save file only" status.

My question: Am I safe to assume I can move forward from this portion of
the instructions since SI50155 is applied?
