Now, if you're still coding S/36 RPG and insist that the first couple of
characters match the file name like
create newtable as (
select x as nwtx, y as nwty, z as nwtz
from fref)
with no data
You can, but why on earth would one want to do that with newer RPG that
supports words like QUALIFIED and whatnot stuns me.
And it also complicates the system catalog. Makes it hard to do stuff
like
SELECT SYSTEM_TABLE_SCHEMA, SYSTEM_TABLE_NAME
FROM qsys2.syscolumns
WHERE system_column_name = 'ITEMNBR'
