Subject: Page Segment Weirdness

Here's the issue:

If I generate the PAGSEG source (Generic InfoPrint 300dpi AFP driver) with
16 colors (4 bit from 24 bit), I get a speckled PAGSEG.

If I generate it with 16 colors (4 bit from 4 bit), I get a featureless
field of black that covers most of the page.

If I use full color with JPEG compression, I get lots of JPEG artifact.

And if I use full color with LZW, I lose everything but the cyan channel.

Can somebody help me?
