Hi

I recommend adding the M flag to the "cf" - that will prevent the manifest file being created. You don't need the manifest file for regular ZIP files, only for true JAR files.

Hi Rich,

I am using this JAR feature for sending big files (usually PTF images, BIN files) between partitions. All I found at IBM is this:

https://www-304.ibm.com/support/entdocview.wss?uid=nas8N1015312

To zip a file, I submit this from the command line for a file in /iptf, named ptf:

STRQSH CMD('cd iptf; jar cf ptf.zip ptf')

To unzip it:

STRQSH CMD('cd iptf; jar xf ptf.zip')

According to my experiences, you will have good results with BIN files, but not with ISO ones. My two cents worth.

Kind regards
