The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Any decent emulator should have given you remote command capabilities like
C:...>RMTCMD //myibmi ENDTCPSVR *TELNET
From that you should be able to stop/start telnet.
Or you could use
ftp myibmi
quote rcmd ENDTCPSVR *TELNET
quit
Lan Console with remote access is also quite acceptable. And, something
you should practice regularly to "sharpen the saw" as students of Stephen
Covey know.
I use HMC instead of Lan Console. But I'm a multi lpar shop.
We're running HMC 8.8.4. It has the capability to run on a virtual
machine instead of being on a dedicated appliance but I've not tried that.
