In my mind the only use for such devices would be for that twinax printer
you just feel that you cannot do without. To me, you're talking about
another level of complexity. You're adding a device in between the
mythological reliability of twinax and the system. And you're still
reliant upon the ethernet communications line (like there are any other
kind of comm lines any more). They make much more reliable devices for
the "dirty shop floor".
