Do not allow the public community string (they will find it if they are like ours). From CFGTCPAPP APP(*SNMP) use option 2 to remove Public and add your own. You can then use this new value in SolarWinds. Works great!

Exactly what I did, but just used the default "PUBLIC" community string that was provided.
Was concern with the other default parms that I did not change.
Guess I am making it harder then what it should be.

CFGTCPSNMP will get you to a menu.
With option 1 you can setup the snmp server to autostart With option 2 you can setup your community string
