Apparently using the web interface to upgrade drive firmware is frowned
upon. All requests to get them to get the web tool to work were answered
with "use itdt". 18+ hours later I aborted the web gui update attempt.
Brushed up on itdt. Downloaded the latest version to my AIX lpar. Copied
the latest firmware to it's input subdirectory.
itdt doesn't allow you to select which drive to update. Right now it's
attempting to update a drive (based on serial number) which is already at
C7QH and not the drive I wanted.
It's through most of the process and is now at "Waiting for reboot
operation". As long as it's been "Waiting for reboot operation" it has me
wondering if it wants me to reboot the particular drive in the library or
what.
