Rob,

I would check with Tape support.
In the past, many times they emailed me the latest driver(s), not yet posted on the site.

The last time I had a drive replaced, I was actually on a newer driver, site still did not have it posted.

I just checked my LTO5 HH fiber, look like I'm also behind.
F991 now available, I'm on F3H5.

I see they now have the LTO7 code posted, I'm possibly upgrading to.
The LTO7 tapes are quite pricey, still need to sell it to management.

Paul

Subject: Finding latest LTO drive firmware on Fix Central

I was able to find the latest firmware for my 3576 (aka TS3310) at Fix Central. However, I cannot find the latest firmware for the fiber channel
LTO4 drives in it.
The library firmware is at 660G.GS007 and I may upgrade it to 670G.GS003.
The drives themselves are all at C7QH and according to the Qualified_Drive_Code_Information.txt that came down with 670G.GS003 that is current for those drives.

My concern is that am waiting for IBM to come deliver a replacement drive and if it's been sitting on a shelf too long it may be outdated with firmware and I like to have a copy to upgrade it to. Ain't my first rodeo. Although, to IBM's credit, often it's been the other way. Their drive is newer and I have to upgrade all the others. The library can get a bit snooty if the drives aren't all the same firmware level.
