I ran this on my brand new 7.2 created from scratch lpar.
CHGSMTPA RTYMIN(99 3) RTYHOUR(5 1) PCTRTGCHR(*YES)
FWDHUBSVR('CLUSTER5.US.MESSAGELABS.COM')

Then I used the SNDMAIL api.

I quickly received it.

Thanks for the reminder Rich.

When I prompt CHGSMTPA I see:
E-mail directory type . . . . . *SMTP
F11
DIRTYPE *SMTP

As opposed to my often upgraded lpars, which are using *SDD.
