There's 2 parts, one multi-platform and one platform specific.

IBM i Access Client Solutions
IBM i Access Client Solutions - Windows Application Package
IBM i Access Client Solutions - Linux Application Package

The ODBC driver is in the application package. That has to be downloaded
from ESS.

So I've gathered. The size of the Windows package is fairly ridiculous for someone who just wants an ODBC driver. AFP Print Driver? I'm not interested. Programming Toolkit? Still not interested. .Net and OLE DB support? Don't really need them. Just want an ODBC driver.

I can find an ODBC driver for MySQL with my first Google hit and it is 7 M. Oracle's is much harder to find, especially for the latest versions, but I can get one measured in MB as well. I have to tap dance to get to IBM's and it's 2.6 G of unknown (to the people I am dealing with) of software install they don't want on their server.

I'll have them try one of the JDBC versions out there instead of having that argument.
