Really looking at a major disaster where the system is destroyed. Backups
are done on a timely basis and stored off site. I will look at the link
that you sent and reply to that at a later date.

FWIW - the client really doesn't want to spend a ton of money on DR (who
does?) and my hounding the importance of it seems to be falling on deaf
ears, but I'm continuing to push it regardless.

Thanks for taking the time to replay.

What kind of disaster? System outage, or Hurricane wiping out the building
containing the system?

How far apart are the plants?

What kind of Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective
(RPO) are you looking for?

Honestly, a DR solution is just one small step in Business Continuity
Planning (BCP)

All,

One of my clients is looking for a disaster recovery solution. They
are privately held. The system is a model E4A with processor code 5634.
The system has 3 LPARS. Production (2109 G of Disk), Test (372.8 G of
Disk) and a development environment that has yet to be set up. They are
on
7.1 and run PRMS and some custom code. There are 4 plants and about 150
users.

We are looking for a cost effective solution that can be implemented
in a day or 2.

Any thoughts/advise are welcome.

Thanks much.
