Understand what scenarios you are most likely to use your HA solution and
make sure your solution fits.

For example, do you really want a solution that uses the exact same disk
between two different hardware boxes? Exactly how often does one lose a
backplane? Wouldn't there be things like different IP addresses between
the facilities?

We've found that most of our downtimes involve PTF's, OS upgrades, etc.
Kind of hard to be using the same disk for that. We use Mimix. Works. We
switch once a quarter with one planned for tomorrow night. To do an OS
upgrade.
