I have seen this happen before with overlays. Our AFP to PDF converter works similarly. You will just have to experiment with overlay offsets.

You may end up with two versions of your program: one for print and one for sending via email. You might also be missing the AFP soft fonts. Check the joblog after converting. These can be purchased from IBM if still available.

If you're on V7R1, you can also now use CPYSPLF on an AFP file directly to PDF.

If you really get stuck, take a look at a new forms product. Our iForms product has been used to replace and augment AFP based processes.

subject: Problem with SPL2STMF TIFF2PDF - (HPT Api)

Hi all

I'm try to use SPL2STMF and TIFF2PDF command from UZAEMON's Homepage, to transform an AFPDS spool file with overlay to PDF document. My problem is that the data is shifted and so (the data) is out of the overlay. If I print this spool file in the HP printer every thing is Ok. If I check the TIFF file (created with SPL2STMF) I can already verify this incongruity, so I thing that the problem is in SPL2STMF, and not in TIFF2PDF. Does any one
can help me to understand where could be the problem ?? I saw in the past
, other had this similar problem (Bradley V. Stone ) (see
http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200810/msg00447.html) but I don't understand how they solved ..

Thanks in advance for any suggestions
