I would need to react if a report did not run correctly, I might need to
check an order on the ibm i. so I would need to go into our IBM i inquiry
screens.

I will be moving to a new main job, and I hope to support the IBM i site
from off hours but would like to check in daily during lunch time. I
would
like to know which small devices you use be it Ipad, Iphone, or the
Android
side, if you use Teamviewer. I tried using private VPN but they could
never
get it work, so been using TV. If you use goto meeting or anyother please
mention. The laptop will not be so discrete I am thinking, sitting in the
cafeteria.

I don't know what 'check in' might mean. What specific tasks are you
trying to accomplish? I use tablets and my phone to consume content,
but I use a laptop to create it. The same general idea goes for IBM i
work; I'd pretty much never use an emulator on my phone to write code,
but I might use it to look at error messages and job logs.

I'm guessing that 'react to' would mean looking at code with SEU. Use
the largest tablet you can. Personally, I'd use a laptop.

Out of curiosity, will the company keep your work PC (the one you're
controlling with TV) running when you've moved on to a different job?
