The one thing that drives me nuts about tn5250j on Mac is how the keys are
mapped. I can't use Cmd + C and instead have to use control + C. And the
key mapper doesn't allow me to remap them because tn5250j wasn't/isn't "Mac
aware".

The other thing that bothers me (that I fixed in my own copy, though I
can't find it now) is when you paste into email from tn5250j it adds an
extra crlf. Now that it is on GitHub I will do a fork/PR and add a fix for
that.

The small difference is - ACS does behave like Client Access (847x, 947x)
while TN5250J is a simple telnet.
I run both on my macs - ACS is some slower, but TN5250j sometimes has
issues with 5250 windows code - and i am not that java expert to analyze
this...

This is good news. There are a number of tn5250j repos on there and I
believe this is the main one: https://github.com/tn5250j/tn5250j

I prefer to use IBM's new ACS because more stuff works "as expected" but
unfortunately it requires additional ports to be open and running. That
means it works for some customers and not others. So I've then resorted
back to tn5250j.
