Did you try the menu option Tools --> File Associations... and reset thejlcrosby@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Well, now I could get mad.
I deleted the entire folder c:\iAccess from my desktop. Then I

Now I can run acslaunch_win-64.exe by double-clicking it. But I
clickassign acslaunch_win-64.exe as the default for .hod files. .hod saysacslaunch_win-64.exe,
"unknown application" and, while I can browse and select
it doesn't work. I drill to it, but whether I double-click it or
try"Open" it does not work. I must be getting senile. I know. I'll

Late September I started a thread regarding a MSGSOCK007 on our

Here's the situation. System i 520, V7R1, fairly well up-to-date

My desktop is Win 7 pro 64-bit, on a domain.acsbundle.jar
The only way I can start I Access is by double-clicking the
file. If I double-click acslaunch_win-64.exe I see a flash of a
screen blink at me, then nothing. If I try to runacslaunch_win-64.exe in
a command prompt I get "Error loading java module." Same if I

File extension .hod is assigned to acslaunch_win-64.exe. When I

The getting started text has a bunch of trouble-shooting

Since it works just fine on my laptop (also Win 7 Pro 64-bit), I
wait till today, bring my laptop in, and compare settings side byside. (I
initially just copied the entire folder structure from my laptop

desktop, so all those files are the same.)
The environment variable for javapath is the same on both. There
no
JAVA_HOME environment variable on either. The java version is

both. The Help/about shows the exact same java information on
The
only difference I can think of is the laptop is not joined to thedomain.
I know Jim Oberholtzer says he just double-clicks the
myoffile,
but I want to be able to double-click the .hod files.
Suggestions? Hopefully something obvious.
