Chuck, responses inline:

Of the info mentioning maintenance filling DASD, no mention of release, nor the current level Cumulative, but mention of TR implies at least v7r1?

Yes, sorry, it is 7.1, TR 5, Cume 12279. A little behind, I know.

And the stack is? I would expect likely a CQE query; seemed an all-too-typical symptom [an apparent hang]. A LIC process dump will include the LIC stack; a second dump taken some time later, >might expose changes [similar to F5=Refresh might in Work With Job (WRKJOB) for the Program Stack (*PGMSTK)].

The Program Stack includes QSQROUTE, QSQRUN2, and QDBGETMQO. Not sure if that really answers your question or not? The WRKJOB *PGMSTK is not moving at all that I can see.

Are there indexes awaiting rebuild or actively rebuilding, showing in Edit Rebuild Access Paths (EDTRBDAP)?

No, none.

Problem is still occurring as of just now.

Thanks
