If you're feeling really cautious then you may consider removing this
archive to tape for a short term. Then do your full system save. Then
put on PTF's (I'd do no less than cume and current hiper). Then once you
have your system as up to date as you can get it, restore the archive and
try the full system save again.

Just to instill fear and panic...
If you do a DSPPTF and look at the '999, does it say V5R4M0 or V5R4M5? I
just wonder if they stopped putting out M0 PTF's earlier than they did
M5's.

Also, if you do a APYPTF LICPGM(*ALL) APY(*PERM) DELAYED(*YES) before you
put on any new PTF's this may help to get space back. I could tell you
why but I'd rather go watch the football team practice... later...
