The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Make sure your overlay is in the library list. Should show.
If you're on V7R1/V7R2 and have Transformation Services loaded, you can also use CPYSPLF to copy the spool file with overlay to PDF so you can review the output.
I think Esend also has a component for converting AFP to PDF. You can contact the support team for assistance.
Also RJS has a native AFP to PDF converter.

subject: Print output with overlays to PDF
Have a printer file with a front page overlay. I do not have an AFP
printer locally, and I need to see what the overlay looks like. I tried
opening the spool file from System i Navigator, but am only seeing the text
output from the program that generates the report.
We also have ESEND from Help/Systems, but I'm not intimately familiar with
that. It emailed the report in PDF format to me, but same results as
above. I'll look at the documentation we have for that. But, in case I'm
missing something that isn't tweakable in ESEND, maybe someone can point me
in the right direction / manual.
