Yeah, more like the ease of installation of stuff back in the DOS days.
Windows installation starting getting more fraught with peril as time goes
on. As most people who tried to use "Check Service Pack" to install service
packs for the deprecated IBM i Access for Windows can tell you.

Um, actually with the exception of the license agreement, you do get the
entire package every time.

The way they have packaged the product there is no installation, drop the
folder into the location of your choice and start using it. So the
package
comes with everything.

That way there is not the find/replace process that goes on inside the
traditional installation manager. Removing the product is as easy as
loading it, simply delete the folder.

His question (as I understand it) is where to find the updates. I can't
imagine you have to download the complete installer from ESS every time
there's an update.

Matt, if you go to the page Jim cites here, you will see what is in the
product. ACS has always been basically 5250 and data transfer and spooled
file viewing.

The OLE DB, .NET, and ODBC driver/provider stuff are in platform-specific
packages - one for Windows and one for Linux. These are additional-cost
items, IIRC.
