You're right, further discussions such as the concerns you've mentioned
should probably go to PCTECH.
Just like upgrading IBM i and I have to check with all of my vendors to
see if their code runs, requires an update, and so on, I assume there's a
similar process in the PC world.
The benefit of the PC world is that I hope that many vendors don't wait
until the 10th year of service of Windows 7 before they finally come out
with a compatible version of their software for it. Ok, 10th might be an
exaggeration, but I have ZERO tolerance for vendors who are not ready for
new releases of IBM i at General Availability date (or sooner).
