I have a friend that just got a desktop with Windows 10. He loves it.

Kim Komando says that Windows 10 is better than Windows 8 in that it gets that reliance of the touch screen interface (like Windows 8) out of the way and brings back your start button.

I have never used Windows 8, nor 10. So I'm not qualified to offer an
opinion. But I don't understand how offering "touch" features for laptops
and desktop monitors, via Windows APIs would be relevant. I'm seriously
considering ordering Windows 7 Pro with my next laptop.

The whole idea of using a Windows API to provide "touch" features reminds
me of Microsoft falling back to a strategy similar to the one they used to
run Netscape out of business, by "embedding" a web browser in the OS. They
called it "innovation" at the time. But the DOJ viewed it as
"monopolistic".

Contrast Microsoft's approach of adding APIs to the base OS to support
"touch" features, vs. the use of standards-based CSS style sheets to
implement "responsive design", which enables page content to "flow" and
automatically adapt to the size of the screen, whether that be cell phones
or 19" monitors.

Hey, my work workstation is running Vista.... I might be offended (lol)

7 reminds me of Vista... both I couldn't stand. :)
