If you are referring to the thick client the user profile/password is cached
by the software in an encrypted data structure somewhere on your PC. It's
particularly annoying when you have to change it (as you are finding out)
A reboot is the easiest way. That's why I keep VMWare Workstation and set
up a VM for each customer, to get around subtle problems like that.

The new Access Solutions does not have nearly the problem with that as the
old client does.

As to the interface, you should consider using the *ADMIN server Navigator.
You only need one instance running in your environment and it can connect to
any of the other IBM i instances in the network. Also you can change the
user profile you connect with more easily.

I have never tried to change users with in iNav. I know you can sign on as
whom ever in the TN5250 sessions but never attempted with in iNav. Good
luck.

There is no way to do a sign off.

Prompting every time is in place. Once you have signed on, it seems to store
the sign on info in the system so when you restart, it pulls it in from the
system registry. Only a ipl resets what's in memory or you do a exit all on
the 5250 sessions, which then kills all sessions.
