Python has landed?

A recent thread about POI veered toward IBM's Python for i:

Well that explains why I couldn't find Python after putting on the very
latest batch of cume / group PTFs.

The implication being the PTFs had not yet been approved, and that Tim
Rowe would post again once they were.

I think I had trouble finding SI57008 also. But I checked again today,
typing "python" into the PTF search at

http://www-912.ibm.com/a_dir/as4ptf.nsf/$$search?openform

and lo and behold, five PTFs came up:

PTF Release Abstract
SI57256 110 Ship bottle for Python
SI57254 110 Ship itoolkit for Python
SI57255 110 Ship flipflop for Python
SI57008 110 Delivery of Python runtime.
SI57253 110 Ship ibm_db for Python

I don't know whether these are brand-new (sometime after Buck posted
and also after my last attempt), or whether we simply failed to try
searching by word. I'm not experienced with PTFs, but it seems that
any other method of locating PTFs is highly dependent on the release;
and though I know the IBM midrange community has a significant number
of shops that aren't up to date, surely there very few that are still
on V1R1M0. I never would have thought to list PTFs for release 110.

So, in any case, the relevant PTFs seem to be visible and orderable now.

Just my luck, the person who would normally be responsible for
installing PTFs on our machine is on vacation.
