× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

He is using the "like" feature and that could be causing the system to rebuild new access paths, hence the delay.

That almost sounds as if a access path (logical file) the QE was making
use of has MAINT(*REBUILD) or MAINT(*DLY)...

I didn't think the QE would bother with such an access path...but I don't
know.
