One more thing

alter table rob.export
add column mydatetime timestamp

alter table rob.export
add column mydate date

alter table rob.export
add column mytime time

update rob.export set mydatetime = current timestamp

update rob.export
set mydate=date(mydatetime )

update rob.export
set mytime=time(mydatetime )

CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(ROB/EXPORT)
TOSTMF('/rob/export3.csv'
STMFCCSID(*PCASCII)
RCDDLM(*CRLF)
RMVBLANK(*TRAILING)
ADDCOLNAM(*SYS)
TIMFMT(*USA) /* Default of *ISO won't be excel friendly */
iso: hh.mm.ss
usa: hh:mm:ss

SQL2XLS SQLSTMT('select * from rob/export')
TOXLS('/rob/export4.xls')
COLHDRS(*FLDNAM)

Excel doesn't seem to be able to handle the timestamp generated by either.
Basically it makes it a character column.
Excel can easily do date arithmetic on either the csv or the xls mydate
column
Excel can easily do time arithmetic on either the csv or the xls mytime
column

and I really struggled with this. It took me a lot of effort to not say
"see, cpytoimpf just doesn't work" but instead keep trying more options,
like TIMFMT, to beat it into submission.
