Dan,

The “Who Knew …” rebook update did not happen due to a lack of funding, but we did do two redpapers which would have formed part of that update. They are:

APIs: http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/redp4324.html?Open

and

Exception and Error Handling: http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/redp4321.html?Open

Both of those came out in the 2007/2008 timeframe.

The latest RPG content is in the new Modernization rebook which came out last year: http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg248185.html

Inspired by another thread, I went to redbooks.ibm.com and searched
i-related publications using:
"Power i" OR RPG OR iSeries OR "AS/400"

Sorting by date, I was a bit surprised and disappointed by the fact that
the most recent publication dates back to 2010. Is there a term in my
search that I've missed?

I was hoping to see an updated version of "Who Knew You Could Do That with
RPG IV? A Sorcerer's Guide..." which was published a full 15 years ago.
(In fact, wasn't there talk about updating that one awhile back?)

I was also hoping I'd find an SQL "cookbook" specific to i. Some kind of
"Who Knew You Could Do That" book for SQL on i. The stuff I've learned on
this list in the past few months certainly only scratches the surface of
what's possible, so it would be useful to see what I'm missing.
