The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
RCLSTG is always a good prophylactic against problems and if you can afford
the time, go for it.
Generally however we only recommend RCLSTG when needed because it is
somewhat disruptive and on a large system can run for quite some time.
It's needed anytime the system is crashed due to power outage, HMC immediate
end to a partition, etc. or if an application goes haywire and destroys
things.

Apparently RCLOBJOWN is quite picky also.

Message . . . . : System not in proper state to reclaim objects by
owner.
Cause . . . . . : Either all the subsystems were not ended before
running
the RCLOBJOWN command or there is a system job still running.
I was hoping that wasn't the case.
I know it sends some people on this list darn near into seizures but I run a
RCLSTG each quarter on each lpar.
