RE: HMC Upgrade from V7R7.2 to V8R8.2

First save the upgrade data to a USB!

Load the DVD and go for it.  No prep needed.  

Note: After you rebuild the HMC, restore the backup data (requires a command
line command to restore the restore data, a quick search will come up with
the command, I'm not near my HMC now) to the HMC and reboot.  Chances are
very high you'll get back your configuration/users, etc.
