I see this has been announced for IBM i 7.2.
I went into ESS (Entitled Software Support) downloads.
Select 5770SS1 hide/show
Did a hide/show on 5827: i7.2 B_GROUP1 v07.02.00,ENU,DVD
and then I see
Developer Kit for Java 8 32bit 5770 ...
Developer Kit for Java 8 64bit 5770 ...
and I can check these and download them.
Basically, if you can find the new "IBM i Access Client Solutions" you can
find the new Java. They're right in sequence.

Is this pretty much non disruptive and nothing will start using them
unless I change environment variables and other stuff of that genre? I
just like to "be prepared".
