I'm not sure it's new in 7.2. My notes say QCMDEXC came out:

IBM i 6.1: Introduced SF99601 Level 3, enhanced Level 15
IBM i 7.1: Introduced: Base, enhanced Level 26
IBM i 7.2: Introduced: Base

Another way to modify your library list while in Navigator (at least on
current PTF levels of IBM i 7.2) is the following:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_72/rzajq/rzajqprocqcmdexc.htm?lang=en-us
Examples
Add a library to the library list.
CALL QSYS2.QCMDEXC('ADDLIBLE PRODLIB2');

QCMDEXC is a new 7.2 stored procedure.
