Never have I seen this before. Type 18 isn't defined in the message.

This is happening on a new piece of production code.

Here is a code snippet from the debugging session:

d SQLString s 500 inz('')
:
:
reset SQLString;
SQLString = 'insert into ' +
%trim(logserver) + '.' +
%trim(SourceSchema) + '.' +
%trim(table) +
' values(?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)';

exec SQL prepare LogInsert from :SQLString;
Exec SQL execute LogInsert using
:Process,
:Partition,
:Routine,

It failed at the "prepare LogInsert from :SQLString"

SQLString = 'insert into remote_machine.local_db.local_table values(?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?
,?,?,?,?,?,?)'

Note that I've replaced the real values of the table's characteristics. The variables logserver, sourceschema, and table are all rendered correctly in the string.
