They didn't talk to you before ordering new sig capture devices ? :-)

Can you post an example of the data you're getting ?

Most likely it's a series of strokes you will need to re-assemble into an image.

Since you asked: "Our iForms product could handle those images once re-assembled without converting to AFP."

Maybe time to upgrade your forms technology ?

subject: Conversion from XYZ to AFP Page Segment

Well...here's an interesting issue. I'm receiving back XYZ coordinates for a signature from a signature capture device. I need to get that signature into AFP page segment format. I've used IBM's tiff2afp.exe program for many years to do this type of thing. Two issues with that approach now - I have XYZ rather than .TIFF, and I need to run this code on an i rather than a Windows PC.

1. How can I transform the XYZ coordinates into something more usable, like .TIFF or .GIF or .JPEG?
2. How can I transform an image to an AFP page segment without using a PC?
3. Do I need to transform to a page segment? Can I print an image on an AFP overlay? Does that require a licensed program product?

Open to all suggestions. Thanks!
