Have to laugh now when you think back to 8.5gb drives.

Are we taking a trip on the wayback machine? Cuz if we are, I specifically
remember 200 MB drives whose platters were like 15" in diameter on a S/36.
Maybe it's senility or a vivid imagination or both, but I seem to recall
being able to see the platters through a transparent housing. Did IBM ever
ship drives like that?

Oh, and I remember being amazed at being able to get that much data in such
a small space. SMH.
