I have three Power 8's. They are all using VIOS (but 'not' for serving
disk to IBM i).
Each Power 8 has two vios lpars, with some redundancy.
Each vios lpar has two drives, a mirrored pair. These drives are in the
CEC.
All disk for IBM i and AIX are hosted from a strict hosting partition of
IBM i with it's disk located in 5887 expansion units.
