The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
We do this:
Right-click on command prompt and choose "run as administrator".
Type in "net user administrator /active:yes" and press enter.
Then, login as administrator and change the hosts file. You can set administrator back if you want, but we just give it a password and leave it active.

Subject: Hosts File and Win7
I got a new Windows 7 PC a couple of months ago. Finally got around to trying to plug in an IP address so I could just type in JERRY for a site, rather than have to remember the IP address.
However, Windows is telling me that "Access Denied" when I try to save the changes to the c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file. I am the only user of this PC (it sits in my living room), and I am the Administrator for it.
So, what gives? Is the Hosts file that I need to change located somewhere else?
